Electric Picnic 2007

I have just returned from another fantastic Electric Picnic. Went to see lots of bands, but most notably:

• The Go! Team were absolutely fantastic and I can’t wait to get their new album this month. They were definitely the highlight of the event for me
• Clap Your Hands Say Yeah were really lively and got the crowd going, forgot how much I like these guys
• Manic Street Preachers had everyone stomping happily through their repertoire of depressing tracks, great fun
• LCD Soundsystem were great, I never got into them before but I will definitely be getting some of their stuff now
• !!! were pretty good, I think I’m going to get some of their stuff, see how I get on with it
• Erasure were probably the best band on the Saturday night for me (even though Chemical Brothers played some of their hits but were fairly underwhelming). When they played A Little Respect the place erupted in song, great fun!

The Body and Soul area was very impressive again this year and hats off to the organisers for putting on such a great, easy going gig, can’t wait for next year!
